Terms
Terms of service
These Terms govern your use of threads-ai, a remote MCP service that connects an approved MCP client to your Threads account.
1. The service
threads-ai lets you connect a Threads account through OAuth and authorize an MCP client to search public Threads posts, publish text posts, reply to posts, and delete content that threads-ai previously created for your connected account. The available capabilities may change as Threads or the service evolves.
2. Eligibility and your account
You must be able to form a binding agreement where you live and must satisfy the eligibility requirements for Threads. Keep control of the Threads account and MCP client you use with the service. You are responsible for activity performed through approvals you grant, including actions initiated by an MCP client.
3. MCP approvals and permissions
Every MCP client must be approved through the threads-ai authorization flow. Approve only clients you trust, review their requests, and disconnect Threads if you no longer want a client to act through your account. threads-ai issues an MCP-specific access token; it does not give the client your Threads access token.
4. Acceptable use
Use the service lawfully and in line with these Terms, Meta's applicable terms and policies, and the rules of any MCP client you use. Do not use the service to violate others' rights, deceive or impersonate others, distribute unlawful or harmful material, interfere with the service, bypass access controls, probe for vulnerabilities, or use credentials that you are not authorized to use.
5. Public content
You are responsible for the content published through your Threads account and for having the rights needed to publish it. Posts and replies may be public, copied, or retained by Threads or others. The delete tool is deliberately limited to content previously created through threads-ai; it cannot remove content created elsewhere or guarantee removal from copies, caches, or Threads itself.
6. Third-party services
Threads is provided by Meta. Your relationship with Meta and with any MCP client is governed by their own terms and privacy practices. threads-ai is an independent service and is not responsible for the availability, content, policies, or actions of Meta, Threads, or an MCP client.
7. Service availability
The service is provided on an “as available” basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of it, including when required by Meta, security needs, or applicable law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or suitable for a particular purpose.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, threads-ai is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or loss-of-profit damages, or for loss arising from public content, an MCP client's actions, or a third-party service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded.
9. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end access if we reasonably believe you breached these Terms, created a security risk, or if we must do so to comply with law or a third-party platform requirement. Disconnecting Threads revokes the usable connection and existing MCP access.
10. Changes and governing law
We may update these Terms by posting a revised version with a new effective date. Continued use after an update takes effect means you accept the revised Terms. To the extent permitted by law, these Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan), and the Taipei District Court has exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from them.
